Where does your passion come from? And where is your passion bringing you? At Go Show Love Ministries, we take our cues from the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, and it’s bringing us to some remarkable places in order to share God’s transforming love.

In one of the New Testament Gospels (which means Good News) the Bible describes Jesus talking to his disciples (men and women who are following, watching, and learning from Jesus, their teacher). Here’s what Jesus says to them: “This is a large work I’ve called you into, but don’t be overwhelmed by it. It’s best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won’t lose out on a thing.” (From a paraphrase of the Bible called The Message)

This is how we feel. God has called us to do a big job – to love like Jesus, to bring God’s peace to the world, by changing our community one life at a time. But we know that God doesn’t want us to be overwhelmed by it, and God doesn’t expect us to do it alone. God asks us to do what Jesus did – GO out and meet all kinds of people in all kinds of places, SHOW by our words and actions what an abundant Life with God looks like, and LOVE everyone on every occasion, however God leads us to do so, in both big and small ways.

It’s easy to remember: Go. Show. Love.
